Children's Air Ambulance

The Children’s Air Ambulance works to save lives and alleviate sickness wherever and whenever possible. When a child is too sick to travel, they fly medical teams and bespoke equipment to them from across the UK, and they fly critically ill babies and children between hospitals for specialist care.

The clinically designed helicopter is a flying intensive care unit. Every transfer of a critically ill child carries risk, and the longer a child is out of hospital the greater that risk becomes. Flying roughly four times faster than a land ambulance cuts both the travel time and the risk.
